The Team Gets Cracking

Or at least we do have coffee together every Thursday. From left to right and back again;

John Eckley, owner of 509 1st Avenue NE
Kim Bartmann, instigator of the future Red Stag Supperclub
Lori Reese, Wonderwoman Construction
Dave Peterson, TNC Industries
Gene Sieve, PE, LEED AP, Dunham Enigineering
Jeffrey Swainhart, LEED AP, Swainhart Construction Services
Todd Landon, Plumber
Carol Anderson, True Blue Electric
Bill Bieganek, EnergyMisers

Missing from our picture that day but certainly not from our team,

Rachelle Schoessler Lynn, ASID, CID, LEED AP, Studio 2030 Inc.

Construction started in earnest the second week of June. There have been several hurdles and setbacks, BUT, contrary to many peoples' assumptions, none of the so far have been LEED related..... knock on wood here. FSC certified wood that is...(Forest Stewardship Council). Most of the people on this team doing the actual construction have never worked on a LEED project before, so we meet weekly to make sure everybody is on the same page with not only the usual construction processes, priorities, and glitches thereof that come up, but also to make sure we are all focusing on the process that LEED demands in terms of materials used and jobsite quality. Each and every person on this team has shown an impressive level of commitment to the LEED framework both and to getting the job done well and within our timeline. Thanks team!

Some discussion of particular materials individual contractors are using that are different than the 'norm' to follow...
